After 17 days in the neonatal Intensive care unit, my beautiful daughter, Juliet, is finally home. Bronwen had to stay overnight at the hospital last night to do a full night of caring for her before the hospital would release her, but everything went fine, and this morning I got the SMS from Bron that I can come fetch them.
It’s be a roller-coaster ride the last couple of weeks after the birth. Not only did Juliet decide to come early, but we lost the house we’ve been trying to buy since January shortly after she was born. The sellers had left the country after we took occupation and left all their debt. The bank informed us that they will be taking possession of the house back, and the sale is off.
Luckily, we have found another house just around the corner and we’ve put in an offer. Lets hope it all goes well, so Juliet can have a brand new home to stay in sooner, rather than later.
It’s so amazing to finally have her at home. It’s bee so long since Vicky was this size, we’ve forgotten some things, but we’re picking things up quickly.
Our family is complete and safely at home. What more could I ask for.
