Inspiration is a funny thing.

Doing a 365 days of photography type project is really madness. I mean it. It’s mad. Complete lunacy.

It’s of course also the same lunacy that makes it the challenge it is. I love taking photos, I just wish I had more time to go out and explore the world I’m dying to take photos of. Family and work life really does chew up so much time.

Winter in particular makes things more difficult. Not enough day light time, so you end up shooting in the house at night in some of the worst light imaginable.

Luckily, sometimes, something that you didn’t notice before catches your eye, and you have something to explore and see if you can capture what you found interesting in the first place.

I think I’m going to try and shoot something interesting in every room in the house for the next couple of days. Make things a little more challenging.

It’s a good excuse to find interesting places to go, look at things in different ways and try new things… For instance, this morning I got bailed up for taking a photo of a VLine train going through Yarraville station without a permit. My profession about ignorance of the requirement for a permit seemed to work, as I was let off the hook with a warning just to get a permit next time….

Funny… I just blogged a similar post about the difficulties of doing a #365… Before I read this… Great shot by the way. Thinking out of the box….
