It’s that time again…

It’s hard to believe that December is here again. It feels like only yesterday that it was a new year with endless possibilities and opportunities. To usher the festive season in I’ve decided to join Catherine Scott and her Holiday season captured Flick group to help me get back on the photography horse.

The last three months has been rather disruptive for our little household.

We lost the house we tried to buy in January, Our daughter was born 5 weeks prem, and was in NICU for 17 days and the new house that we’ve bought won’t be available till next year, and we need to move out of the old house by the end of this month.

However, we have things to be thankful for as well as well. We have found a fantastic house that we cannot wait to move into and make a home of. Our new daughter is at home, healthy and growing like a weed and Bron’s family is helping us with temporary accommodation until the new house is available for occupation.

I’m also sadly saying goodbye to my current employer. It’s been a fantastic and exciting 2 years with them, but I’ve realized that I need to go back to my roots, and there is unfortunately very limited opportunities for me to do that in my current employment.

So life is slowly working its way back to some normality and with it the time and opportunity to pick up a camera more often. I look forward to wrapping more presents and then taking photos of my daughters and wife opening them and capturing those treasured moments to share with you, the reader.

Best wishes for the festive season, be it with or without loved ones. May the year ahead be everything you anticipate it to be.

I know it’s just wrapping paper, but I really like that shot! I’ve never even considered taking photos of wrapping paper! Today you are MY inspiration – thank you :)
