Bronwen asked me a while ago if I wanted to take our fist “official” maternity photos. I was, initially, not very keen. I’d taken a few photos before in a makeshift studio in various rooms. This, however, would be a bit more tricky.
We spent most of today varnishing the new wooden planks for Vicky’s swing which we finished just before sunset. Dinner was made, food was bribed into mouths and naked bums were escorted into the bath and shortly thereafter into PJ’s and bed.
Usually after our little bundle of hyperactivity and excitement falls asleep we vegetate for one episode of whichever TV show we’re enthralled by and off to bed. Tonight, however, we were not really in the mood for this.
Since I had some time to spare and the weather was a slight bit on the warmer side, I tempted Bron to pose for a few test shots to see what lighting will work best when we’re in the new house and have lots more space to do a full shoot. She was giddy with excitement and as always the perfect model while I faffed around the camera and lights firing off test shots.
I think the test shots worked out just fine. Neither of us can wait till we have more space to experiment more.
